 WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR APPOINTMENT

We are so excited to welcome you back to Xalon Salon! To keep clients and staff safe, and to follow the requirements by the State of Minnesota and the Department of Health, there are some changes to the way we must operate our salon in the time of COVID-19.

One change is we are only able to operate at 25% capacity at this time, which means there will be fewer people in the salon at a time and appointments won’t be as plentiful as they have been in the past. Call us at 320-774-2110 to schedule an appointment, and we will get you in as soon as we are able.

You must have an appointment scheduled. We are not able to take any walk-ins. (As a “walk-in” you can call us from the parking lot to try to book an appointment, but only people with an appointment may enter the salon.) No guests, including children, will be allowed to accompany you into the salon.

When you arrive for your appointment, call us from the parking lot at 320-774-2110. We will ask you a few health-related questions, then we will notify you when you may come inside. Bring only necessary items with you into the salon. No large purses, jackets, food, drinks, or books please. We won’t be holding any personal items. Your stylist will meet you at the door.

Masks are required for all staff and all clients at all times inside the salon. The mask should be the kind that go behind your ears, not behind your head, so we can access your hair and should cover your nose and mouth. If you do not have a mask, we have them available for sale. Sorry, no exceptions. We cannot operate our salon business without masks.

If you are not feeling well for any reason, you cannot enter the salon. We will be taking temperatures of all clients as you enter the salon and all staff as they begin their day at the salon.

WE CANNOT SEE YOU TODAY IF:

• You have a fever, cough shortness of breath, muscle aches, chills, sore throat loss of taste or smell, headache or generally aren’t feeling well.
• You have traveled by plane in the past 14 days.
• You are awaiting results from a COVID-19 test.
• You have been exposed to someone or live with someone who has symptoms or has tested positive for COVID-19.

We want nothing more than to see you back in the salon, however if you are ill we need to reschedule for the safety of all and to be able to keep Xalon Salon open and able to offer services. Thanks for your part in keeping us all safe.

Sanitize your hands as you enter the salon. We will have sanitizer available. Your stylist will escort you back to their station to begin your service. If you need any product, let your stylist know and we will gather them for you. We will be thoroughly sanitizing all stations, tools, and common areas between each client and there will be a temporary $3 COVID-19 surcharge on services to accommodate the necessary sanitization costs. Credit card payment is preferred so we are transferring cash hand-to-hand the least amount possible. Tips are always gratefully accepted, and your stylist may have the option for you to Venmo it directly to them rather than exchanging cash.

You will notice inside the salon that things look a bit different. Stations are spaced further apart, there are fewer people in the space, and other than your stylist, everyone is required to stay at last 6 feet apart. We also will not be doing any services that require removing a mask, so there will be no lip, chin, or cheek waxing at this time and no makeup applications.

This may seem like a lot of rules, but it’s all in an effort to keep you and our team healthy and to abide by the requirements of the State of Minnesota. We anticipate these rules will loosen as time goes on, and we get through this time of uncertainty. We are thrilled to be able to offer services to you once again. We have missed you so much!
